Also known as sakura in the place after which it is named, the Yoshino Cherry enjoys temperate climates, has bronze-toned leaves and prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Because of the pleasant fragrance, the Yoshino Cherry tree is usually planted in a large number, in order to make it even more persistent, obvious and inviting.

The best growing place for the Yoshimi Cherry is in an acidic soil with very good drainage. As the tree has drought-sensitivity, the root should always be moist and the planting process is to be done after taking in consideration all the requirements, one of being related to the light conditions. Make sure to plant it in full sun otherwise the result will be a one-sided crown.
